Jamie Pickett – Joseph Holmes: prediction for mixed martial arts (MMA) from Gleb Kozhikov

The preliminary card match of the first UFC tournament in 2022 is Kattar vs Chikadze.

Jamie Pickett

The 33-year-old American fighter nicknamed The Night Wolf, professional record 12-6, trains at the Port City Sports Performance. Jamie got into the UFC through the Dana White show, but he only managed to do so on his third try, starting in 2017. Pickett is an overall average weight, quite strong, the stance is his strong point, but not to say that it is at a high level. In the best league in the world, the American has a record of 1-2, only in the last fight against Staropoli, Pikett managed to avoid being fired from the UFC.

Joseph Holmes

The 26-year-old American fighter nicknamed Ugly Man, a 7-1 professional record, trains in Texas. Joseph tried his hand at Dana White’s challenging series in October 2021, won early, but did not receive a contract – the UFC president said that another attempt was needed. And just a month later, at the Fury FC 53 tournament, which was dedicated to the selection of young talents, Holmes knocked out his opponent in round 1 and received a contract with the UFC.

Forecast for the fight

I believe that Holmes is a fresh breath of air in the middleweight division and he, at least, will soon have to get into the TOP-15 and Pickett is the first springboard on his way. Joseph delivers biting low kicks, he is able to knock out an opponent with one blow, but on top of that, he has a signature move – rear choke, with which Holmes finished four of his opponents. Jamie has some penetration + protection from transfers to the ground is clearly lame, so Joseph will have a lot of options on how to defeat Pickett.
